Discounts & Coupons

Define the discounting presets and enable or disable discounting ability for cashiers.

Enabling coupons

  • It is important you have coupons enabled from the settings page found under WooCommerce > Settings > Checkout > Coupons.
  • If this is not enabled then the Point of Sale will assume that this store is not at liberty to provide discounts thus disabling all discount facilities.

Discount presets

You can enable or disable the preset discount values that appear in the registers discount modal.

  • To define the presets, go to Point of Sale > Settings > General > Discount Presets.
  • You can choose up to 4 values as we have designed the keypad for 4 buttons.
  • If you want to use a value that is not available, feel free to type in any value up to 2 decimal places.

Disable discounting ability for cashiers

  • Go to the user profile of the cashier, similar to the Edit My Profile page found when hovering over your username.
  • Scroll down to Point of Sale  and click choose whether discounting ability should be enabled or disabled.

Product discounts

You can add a discount to the line-item product within the register.

  • Within the basket section of the register, tap the products price.
  • A keypad with numerical values as well as discount figures are presented.
  • You can either set a fixed discount or a percentage discount.
  • The product price in the cart updates as discounts are applied.
  • Regular price values are displayed with a strike under the discounted price.
  • To clear and return to the original price, simply tap the price again and click the Clear button on the keypad.

Cart discounts

You can apply a discount to the entire cart within the register.

  • Within the basket section of the register, tap the Discounts action in the register toolbar.
  • A modal window is loaded where you can either apply a Discount or a Coupon.
  • You can either set a fixed discount or a percentage discount.
  • The product price in the cart updates as discounts are applied.
  • To clear and return to the original price, simply tap the discount button again and click the Clear button on the keypad.
  • You can also apply preset discount values set from the settings page.
